Our Story

Almost 100 Years at the Heart of Harinagar

Harinagar is a village area within Nabiganj Upazila of Habiganj District, in the northeastern Sylhet Division of Bangladesh.

For approximately 98 years, Harinagar Masjid has stood at the heart of our village community.

For generations, local residents have prayed, learned and gathered at this mosque. From grandparents and parents to today's children, the same walls have held the daily rhythm of Salah, Jumu'ah and Ramadan.

As the mosque approaches a remarkable century of service, our community has grown and our needs have changed. The existing mosque can no longer comfortably accommodate the growing number of worshippers.

The community therefore intends to construct a larger, modern and welcoming mosque on the current location. The new mosque will provide significantly improved prayer facilities while preserving the Islamic and community heritage of the site.

We now have an opportunity to honour the legacy of those who came before us by building a new mosque for those who will come after us.
